Celebrating National Mentoring Month

Occurring annually each January, the purpose of National Mentoring Month is to celebrate the power of supportive and meaningful mentorship relationships. It recognizes the importance of mentoring and the impact it can have on students' university experience.

This is also a time to encourage others to become mentors, and to raise awareness about the various mentoring programs at UC San Diego.

Every year, Mentoring for All invites departments to submit an event as part of our National Mentoring Month celebration. These events are aimed at increasing awareness about the importance of mentoring, as well as the various mentoring opportunities available to undergraduate and graduate students at UC San Diego.

My Mentoring Story

In January 2023, mentors, mentees, and the Triton community were invited to submit a 20-30 second video recording on  how mentoring has made an impact  on their life. These videos were highlighted on our Student Affairs' Instagram (@ucsdstudentaffairs), below.
